The main research topics can be summarized:

1. Design, fabrication and characterization of superconducting devices based on the Josephson effect and Dayem Bridge (1999 to present) producing about 30 articles in journals with referees, over 20 presentations at conferences and several articles on proceedings,

Development of innovative deposition technique (cathodic arc in UHV) for the deposition of superconducting films and characterization of films produced (from 2000 at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata") producing 11 articles in journals with referees, 15 presentations in conferences (including 2 invited) and several articles on proceedings,

3. RF Filters innovative superconductors to manufacture for mobile applications (2000-2004) producing 7 papers (ISI), 7 conference presentations and several articles on proceedings,

4. Manufacture and characterization of superconducting multilayers (1998-1999) publishing 7 articles with referees, 5 presentations at conferences and articles on proceedings,

5. Production and characterization of superconducting, metal and refractory films for radiofrequency cavities applications (from 1993 to 1997 at the CERN in Geneva) producing 9 articles with referees, 10 presentations at conferences (including 1 invited) and several articles on proceedings,

Curriculum: 

Dr. R. Russo graduated with honors in Physics in 1994. He got a permanent position as researcher at CNR in 2009. During his career he gained extensive experience in the design, fabrication and characterization of low and high-Tc superconductors, metals, refractory, insulating and magnetic materials.
He has developed an innovative deposition technique. RR has carried out its activities at various institutes, universities and institutions of primary importance on the national and international level (CERN, INFN, INFM, CNR, University of Rome, Naples and Salerno). RR has also worked and collaborated with Italian and Suisse high technology companies for the production of vacuum solar thermal panels. The research topics are part of national and international projects financed by the European Community (VI Framework Programme), MIUR (PRIN, FIRB), INFN, INFM, Campania government and by private companies.
