Nanostructured thin-films of Nb-doped TiO2 have been catalyzed with Au nanoparticles to enhance CO sensitivity at low operating temperature. Nb was introduced in the titania lattice as a donor to increase the electrical conductivity, which is required for operation at low-temperature. Structural characterization indicated stable microstructure and electrical measurements demonstrated the improved sensing performance.
