Description:
We employed a low-RIN Brillouin ring-laser based on doubly resonant (DR) short cavity (SC) layout and implementing an active wavelength-locking technique for Brillouin optical time-domain analysis (BOTDA) sensing. The developed high-stability narrow-linewidth pump-probe laser scheme allows for efficient BOTDA measurements for a range of over 10 km fiber with enhanced temperature-strain resolutions.
