Description:
This is, no doubt, the most difficult chapter of the book, written mostly by its first author, a specialist in non-linear dynamic systems, and seconded by a statistician that has been working on the connections between Chaos Theory and Statistics; the third co-author, responsible for the whole book, acted mainly as editor, adding, removing, or changing minor pieces. A good deal of exchange occupied considerable room and time in the cybernetic emailing space making the task enjoyable and fruitful. In the introduction, attention is called to the heart as paradigmatic case of high biological complexity reminding that interaction with several factors contributes often to further complicate its framework.
