This is, no doubt, the most difficult chapter of the book, written mostly by its first author, a specialist in non-linear dynamic systems, and seconded by a statistician that has been working on the connections between Chaos Theory and Statistics; the third co-author, responsible for the whole book, acted mainly as editor, adding, removing, or changing minor pieces. A good deal of exchange occupied considerable room and time in the cybernetic emailing space making the task enjoyable and fruitful.
