The International Conference on Silicon Carbide and Related Materials (ICSCRM) is the most important technical conference series in the world for electronics devices technology based on silicon carbide (SiC) and related materials. A series of ICSCRM started at Washington, D.C. in 1987. After five conferences in USA, ICSCRM has been held every two years in USA, Europe, and Japan under the International Steering Committee. The last editions were held in Nürnberg, Germany (2009), Cleveland, USA (2011) and Miyazaki, Japan (2013).

Organic electronics is an emerging technology that promises to cover a wide range of applications exploiting the intrinsic characteristics of the organic materials: low temperature process, flexibility, biocompatibility and even the biodegradability.

In this project, CMOS technology will be exploited to fabricate nanodevices to implement and benchmark different architectures of quantum bits (qubits) based on spin degree of freedom at cryogenic temperatures. The goal of the project is the identification of the most suitable physical qubit architecture in terms of scalability and to fabricate the first CMOS-based qubit in a reliable manner to pave the way to the development of a solid-state quantum computer.

We exploit the capabilities of plasma to produce advanced materials for several applications ranging from solar cells to advanced nanostructured materials to be integrated in state of the art devices.

We exploit the capabilities of plasma to produce advanced materials for several applications ranging from amorphous solar cells, HIT solar cells, to advanced nanocsryalline materials to be integrated in state of the art devices.

Nickel-Silicon compounds, as most of the transition metal silicides, show peculiar thermodynamic and kinetic behaviours.

We are investigating new graphene based structures to be potentially used in sensing. In particular, the attention is focused on the realization and characterization of 3D grafene structures like graphene foams.
