PLAST_ICs is a project by Distretto Tecnologico Micro and Nano Sistemi Sicilia S.c.a.r.l. (Sicily Technologic District Micro and Nano systems) sponsored by MIUR (Ministero Istruzione Università e Ricerca) with PON R&C (Programma Operativo Nazionale “Ricerca e Competitività” 2007-2013) funds.
Progetto PON02_00355_3391233 (Ricerca & Formazione)
Il progetto ENERGETIC affronta problematiche di tecnologia dei sistemi fotovoltaici e per l’efficienza energetica con un approccio ampio, su aspetti concernenti materiali, dispositivi, ICT.
Photonics, the generation and manipulation of light, is an important enabling technology for a diverse range of application areas; in 2006, the photonics industry in Europe accounted for revenues of €49 billion. PROPHET (Postgraduate Research on Photonics as an Enabling Technology) is an Initial Training Network funded by the EU Framework Programme 7 Marie Curie Actions, which aims to train the next generation of photonics researchers in the full range of skills required for a multi-disciplinary, industry-focused career in photonics.
The theoretical modelling activities ongoing in the IMM - Rome are strictly related and complementary to the experimental activities currently pursued in this Unit.
Currently, the activities are focused on five different research lines:
MABIOSKit - “Matrici di biosensori a trasduzione elettrica su pellicole polimeriche per kit diagnostici e monitoraggio terapeutico di malattie oftalmiche”, is a three years regional project coordinated by Fondazione Bietti. The team comprises this fondation and three teams of CNR - IMM, IFT and ISM respectively. The scientific coordinator of IMM group is Dr. Luca Maiolo.
