Her scientific activities are highly interdisciplinary, ranging from biophysics and biochemistry (molecule/molecule and biomaterials/living systems interaction analysis and structural characterization), micro- and nano-structuration of organic/inorganic and composite materials, to the design and development of miniaturized devices for applications in NanoBio-Medicine.

Curriculum: 

She graduated in Biological Sciences, University of Lecce (2003). During her Ph.D. in Morphological and Molecular Science at Catholic University (Rome-IT), she focused on a project concerning the possible role of the oxidative stress-regulated protein p66Shc, in Central Nervous System. In 2007, AA joined the National Nanotechnology Laboratory (NNL) (Lecce-IT) as junior reseacher and she performed a part of her post-doctoral research activity (November 2008- March 2009) at the Protein Chemistry Unit of Biomedicum (Helsinki-FI). Since 2010 she worked as a researcher at the CNR Institute of Nanoscience-Lecce in the group of Professor R. Rinaldi; at the end of 2016 she moved to the CNR Institute for Microelectronics and Microsystems-Lecce.
